Yes, you heard right. Layla Lynn Lesjak is here. And what a JOURNEY it was...Last Monday, my OB Doc decided to strip my membranes and send me home(due to my high Blood Pressure). I was feeling great all day. Tegan and I cleaned the house, went for a walk, relaxed, etc. I was pretty sure nothing was going to happen...TILL.....10:30 pm. Contractions hit! And boy did they hit hard and fast. They went from 7 minutes apart to 4 minutes in little under an hour. So, I woke Tegan up and called my mom and we all journeyed to the hospital.
After I got hooked up to all the monitors, my contractions decided to be farther apart and irregular. I was sure they would send us home. After about 20 minute, the nurse came in and explained that my Blood Pressure was WAY TOO HIGH (which it had been for over a week now) and we are going to have this baby sometime soon.
About 30 minutes passed and I was in the worst pain I've ever felt in my life! Any woman that has given birth naturally...I SALUTE YOU! I had these ridiculously painful contractions for about a hour till finally the nurse said let's get an epidural started. I was so happy. Aw.....
I decided I wanted Tegan, my Mom, my Aunt Helen, and Meme in the delivery room with me. I knew I needed a great support team and these were the people that would give it to me. Unfortunately, Meme wasn't able to come till later, but I still had the best support team! Tegan was so great and stayed by my side the entire time and held my hand.
Time came and went and we waited and waited. Morning came and about 9:30ish my OB Doc showed up and and broke my water.... everything progressed quickly after that. At 11:00 am I was dilated fully and was ready to push.

And at 12:02 pm on 10-12-2010 This is what appeared.....AN ANGEL

Weighing at 7lbs 3 ozs (I couldn't believe it!) And 19 inches long.

Layla and me .......

Layla and her "Dramma"

Layla and her "Auntie Rockstar Helen"

Layla and her DADDY!
Meme arrived 10-13-10 at about 12:40 PM The same time we got discharged from the hospital. Were we so happy to see her and introduce her to her latest GEM!....
What a blessing. Tegan and I have never loved anything more, and we can't wait to give this baby everything we have!
