WHAT A WEEK....

We've had quite the week....Last weekend Tegan ended up with the stomach flu. Good thing it was a mild case and he felt better in 24 hours. I then got it Tuesday, worse case EVER!! I ended up in the ER again. It took me 3 days to finally feel all better.

Valentines day wasn't to spectacular for us, but we did have fun with Layla. Kristen had a Valentines Day party for all the kids at her house on Tuesday. Everyone got a paper bag full of goodies. Layla got two new stuffed animals, a dog, and teddy bear. And she got Valentines from all her friends.....Unfortunately, she ad to leave her party early, she had her 4-month doc appointment. The doc told me I need to lighten up on the bottle and try and give more of the pacifier...why???...Well, Layla Bug here weighs 16 LBS and 8.5 ounces, but like I've said before I won't deny her food. She got her shots too..she cried for about 5 seconds (NO JOKE!) and was happy again. I was so proud of her.

BO was a little sad on Valentines Day....He didn't have a Valentines to LOVE...So Layla told him he could love her PINK Dog for the day....

Dramma got Layla a cutesy little Doggy for Valentines Day....She LOVES IT!!!

OUR SUNDAY WITH LAYLA....

Layla spent the night at Dramma's last night. When we got her back home all she wanted to do was play...

I love when she gets excited, she frantically kicks her feet and whips around her arms. It's so cute!

Aunt BB, Uncle Donny, cousin Sarah, and Cousin Molly bought Layla this activity gym for Christmas, she absolutely loves it!! She can't get enough of it. We've added a little more toys to it, as you can see.

Dramma told us she gave Layla a little bit of apple sauce while Layla was over, so Tegan and I decided to try and get her to eat some more baby food today. Tegan got her carrots, pears, and apples. We tried the carrots first.....

It will take some time, but I think she will like baby food.

And look how smart BO the Beagle is....He knows some day this little girl will be dropping food for him to catch...He cracks me up!!

4 MONTHS.....

Layla is 4 months old. Everything is going by so incredibly fast. It makes us have mixed emotions about it.

She is finally holding her head up perfectly, now just need to work on the sitting up part. She loves sitting on my lap and looking around while sucking on her hand. Yes, she still hasn't figured out how to suck her thumb. We've tried to show her how, but she get's upset. She just wants to do it herself. It makes me giggle.

Layla is still having a BLAST at daycare. All the other kids just love her. Tegan is working 12 hour days his month, so I drop her off and pick her up everyday from Kristen's. Everyday I drop her off she lights up when she sees everyone and when I go to pick her up she is in the best mood. I love not having to worry like crazy all day long about her being over there.

Layla has her 4 month doc appointment on Wednesday. I will be taking her all by myself. I'm scared for that, since she is getting more shots. But I'm also excited because she will be able to start on baby food this month. Tegan and I are making an effort that every time we eat we put her in her high chair so she knows we eat as a family, at the table, for every meal. I want her to learn family values and how very special it is to have family time.

Once in a great while Layla will sleep thru the night, altho there are the occasional nights she get's up 2-3 times, but it's usually just once. I love watching her sleep and catching her smile, it melts my heart.

She absolutely loves to laugh and smile. Tegan, Dramma, and I can get her to belly laughs. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. Her giggle sounds more of a sarcastic giggle, when she does it everyone laughs and asks me if she's being serious.

Layla has this new thing she has acquired doing while her Papa is feeding her her bottle. She has discovered his beard. She runs her fingers on it and scratches it. It's so funny and super cute. Tegan keeps telling me, "Well at least someone likes my beard!" HA,HA.

Layla still goes to her Dramma's every Saturday night for a slumber party. They have so much fun together. Dramma has figured out Layla loves movies with dog's in them. She put on The Lady And The Tramp for Layla and she was in love! Guess we know what her favorite animal is.

Layla is 4 months, but fitting in 6-9 month clothing. The dress you see here, it's for 9 months. I laugh about how chunky she is. Like Momma like daughter. I was a very chunky baby myself. When I return her to Kristen on Monday's she tells me Layla has grown again. I don't doubt it.

Valentines Day is Monday, Tuesday Layla is having a party at daycare with all her friends. Tegan and I made Layla a Tutu to wear and bought Valentines for all her friends. We've decided to make Tutu's for each Holiday for her. I can't wait to take pictures of her in them.
